HepV0

Hepvo Self Sealing Waste Valve

The Hepworth HepV0 Self-Sealing Waste Valve is available in 1 1/4-inch and in 1 1/2-inch.

HepV0 is designed to close the waste connection below a sanitary faxiture to prevent the escape of sewer gas and water into the dwelling.

HepV0 actively eliminates negative pressure within the waste system by opening the valve and allowing fresh air until a state of equilibrium with atmosphere is reached. This means that venting of the waste system or the inclusion of air admittance valves (AAV) in the waste system is no longer neccessary.

The HepV0 valve means enhanced plumbing design and system efficiency without compromising performance or risking the escape of foul air into the living space from the drain or sewer.

The product is used in the USA in the RV industry with great results, the valve reduces install labour and creates space due to its tubular design. Due to its design, it i simpossible for the valve to empty out, dry out, or allow dirty water to come back into the shower tray. The valve can be installed horizontally or vertically.

Currently a North American standard is being developed by ASME and the CSA. IAPMO has created an ICG for it and the product has been tested against the ICG with positive results.

The HepV0 valve can be installed vertically or horizontally (with an adaptor) and is available in 1 1/4-inch and in 1 1/2-inch.

  • The HepV0 valve is available in bulk and in blister packs.
  • The blister pack contains three fittings, elbow knuckle adaptor, straight knuckle adaptor and the valve itself.
  • Bulk items of same are purchased separately.
